The public can submit their favourite washroom now through June 19

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — March 16, 2020 —Cintas Canada, Ltd. is now accepting nominations now for this year’s Canada’s Best Restroom contest, which shines a spotlight on deserving public washrooms. Nominate your favourite public washroom now at www.bestrestroom.com/Canada through June 19, 2020.

“By creating a pleasant and memorable washroom experience, businesses can improve their bottom line,” said Ashok Suresh, Marketing Manager, Cintas. “In fact, 52% of people are likely to spend more money at a business with a well-maintained restroom[1]. This contest highlights businesses that make developing and maintaining their washrooms a priority.”

Entries will be judged based on five criteria: cleanliness, visual appeal, innovation, functionality and unique design elements. Five impressive finalists will be announced in July and the public will have an opportunity vote for the 2020 grand prize winner. The winner will receive a Cintas UltraClean^® restroom cleaning service and $2,500 in facility services from Cintas to help maintain their award-winning washrooms.

Last year, Alberta’s Beaver Hill Shell gas station was crowned Canada’s Best Restroom for its focus on cleanliness. The washrooms feature luxurious details throughout, including herringbone-patterned wall and floor tile, paired with sleek wall sconces, shining chandeliers and large, decorative mirrors that create a modern, yet rustic look.
